Abdullah advises and represents entrepreneurs, family businesses and investors in transactions and disputes within corporate and contract law. He began his career on Amsterdam’s Zuidas, at the largest law firm in the Netherlands. He then returned to the place where he grew up: Ede. The experience he gained handling large and complex matters now benefits entrepreneurs in the region. With the same sharpness, but closer to home.

A significant part of his practice consists of mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts. Abdullah guides clients through the purchase and sale of companies and through the transactions, partnerships and restructurings that surround them. In doing so, he also drafts shareholders’ agreements and sets up legal structures for employee participation and business succession. In addition, he advises on commercial agreements, from their formation and performance to their termination.

Alongside his transactional and advisory practice, Abdullah specialises in complex commercial disputes. A significant part of these takes place before the Enterprise Chamber (Ondernemingskamer). He represents companies, directors and shareholders in shareholder disputes, decision-making deadlocks and acquisition disputes. He also handles conflicts with suppliers or customers and matters concerning the liability of (former) directors and supervisory directors. In addition, he advises on control and decision-making within the company and on the appointment, suspension and dismissal of directors.

What clients value in Abdullah is that he guides them through the legal process in a practical and personal way. This leaves them with the time they need to run their business. It is no surprise that many of them rely on him as their regular outside counsel and sparring partner.

Abdullah studied Law at Radboud University Nijmegen. He took courses at Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada and, following a selection procedure, completed the dual master’s programme Onderneming & Recht (Business & Law). He then worked for four years as a lawyer on the Zuidas. In January 2026, he completed the Grotius specialisation programme in Corporate Litigation cum laude. This is the leading postgraduate programme for lawyers who litigate complex corporate disputes. Outside his practice, Abdullah is the founder and chairman of Jong Ondernemend Ede, the network for young entrepreneurs in and around Ede.

“Abdullah is tough on substance and gentle on the relationship. You quickly build a good rapport with him, because he is genuinely interested in both the business and the person behind it. One-on-one, Abdullah is calm and chooses his words carefully, but in the courtroom he is sharp and able to improvise when needed. As a former debating champion, he always has a well-structured and well-argued case and is not thrown off by the opposing party. In Abdullah you will find a reliable sparring partner who is there for you.”
