Aart Jan Stokkers was sworn in as a lawyer in 1996. After studying Law at the University of Utrecht, he first worked as a lawyer and attorney at other law firms. He joined Van Veen Advocaten in 2004 and has been a partner since 2009. Within the firm he focuses on labor law and insolvency law. For these fields of law he has successfully completed the Grotius specialization course in Insolvency Law, the Erasmus course in Financial Economics for Insolvency Lawyers and the Grotius specialization course in Labor Law.
In his practice, Aart Jan assists both employers and employees in complex labor disputes. He also acts as receiver in bankruptcies and advises companies in financial difficulties.
